Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering or enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of the BSc. in Agriculture (Animal Science major) or BSc. in Animal Health program (Food Animals or Food Safety and Quality majors). Recipient will be selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership skills and involvement in extracurricular and community activities.

Alberta Poultry Industry Council Award

To be awarded annually to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the third or fourth year of studies in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences. Recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing in AN SC 322 or AN SC 471 or in individual research projects on Poultry Science that year. Awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Animal Health. Alberta Turkey Producers Scholarship

To be awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering third or fourth year of the BSc. in Agriculture (Animal Science major), BSc. in Animal Health, BSc. in Agricultural/Food Business Management, or BSc. in Nutrition and Food Science program. Recipient will be chosen on the basis of academic standing and must be enrolled in a course that includes poultry related projects. Preference will be given to a student doing work that is applicable for turkey producers. Don and Ruth Clandinin Scholarship in Poultry Science

Donald McQueen Shaver Undergraduate Research Travel Award

Awarded to continuing or convocating students with satisfactory academic standing in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences who have completed at least 30 units of course weight at the University of Alberta and who have been invited to present their research findings at a poultry-related scientific meeting in North America. Henry Van Zeggelaar Scholarship in Poultry Science

Aviagen Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by Aviagen for postgraduate students interested in studying poultry genetics. This $5,000 annual award is intended to help graduates with a diploma in Poultry Science or related field pursue an advanced degree in Poultry Genetics. To be considered for the scholarship you need to send a completed CPRC postgraduate application form, up to date academic transcripts, a two-page résumé describing your career goals ad academic and extracurricular activities that support your interest in poultry research, a statement of endorsement from your research supervisor describing why you are particularly suitable for this award, , outline of proposed research, contributions and statements.

CPRC Scholarship Program

The CPRC offers a Postgraduate Scholarship Supplement. The supplement is $5,000 per year. To be eligible, a student must be studying (or planning to study) some aspect of poultry science and must also hold a NSERC scholarship at the Masters or Doctoral level. European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics (EMABG)

The focus of the European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics is on the development of sustainable breeding programmes for farm animals, fish and companion animals. The programme is designed to answer the scientific, practical, and societal challenges of animal breeding and genetics. It offers high quality training in the field of animal breeding and genetics offered jointly by a Consortium of six leading European universities. The scholarship covers all university fees, travel costs, insurance for the two years of studies and an additional $1000 euros per month for living costs. The MSc course is open for all students with a background in animal sciences, biology or related fields. Application for the 2022/2023 year is open until January 15, 2022.
